Just switched power on for the vinegar run :happy-partydance:
Does anyone else get real nervous on the first fire up or is it just me?

mate, is that first piece a packed section, or is it just to elevate it a bit?

It's just to get it up so I can get my jars on the bench. Also puts the glass at eye height which is nice.

Vinegar run done, now on the sac run seem to be working ok. I had to sacrifice a bwko wash I had sitting there.
So far so good!

Looks good, you can probably run it a bit harder and not risk a puke because of that long bottom section.

Harder as in feed it more power? I've got another 2400w left and a controller.
I thought the norm was 2 on 1 off after heat up? Also my first time running a bubbler, but I fucked around a bit and found the rc can handle 4800w with feed water at 40 degrees only needs a trickle.

Probably only really going to notice on rum runs as they will foam up a bit usually, something to do with suspended solids in the molasses

Well Guy's I did a spirit run last night with 20l BWKO wash and about 16l of stripped BWKO :D and jeez aren't these things awesome to run!
I ended up with 27 300ml cuts at starting at about 94% and finishing about 85% when I could tell I was in tails.

Thanks fellas for all the advice and information without this forum I would definitely not have been able to get this done :handgestures-thumbupleft:

How long did both runs take?

How does it compare time wise to your boka/pot?

Adam, the run took about 4.5hrs which worked out about 2L/hr whereas in the pot a 40L 40% spirit run would take about 10hrs add in the 3-4 hrs for each stripping run :angry-banghead: and the bubbler shits all over it!
I cant really compare it to the Boka as I run it real slow for neutrals to get the best I can out of it.
Plus these bubblers are awesome to watch :handgestures-thumbupleft:

So I loaded the boiler with rum low wines 40% and have 40mm airspace from the underside of the keg, is this enough room as I don't want to puke it!
that's the amount I had so in it went, no science here :))

Question 2. Is there any benefit in continuing stripping with the pot and doing a low wines run in the bubbler as these I was saving for a pot spirit run but when I started the bubbler I thought through the bubbler is gonna be better

Cheers,

being low wines and the long neck on your still it should be fine
I always strip and add to new wash for a spirit run as this give me a larger hearts cut without any noticeable flavor loss :handgestures-thumbupleft:

Edit: and takes less time
