Not sure if I should put this in here or in the beginers questions-but here goes
ive just put together my first Tpw following Mcstills tried and proven.
everthing i needed was already in the cupboard-i just hope the old girl doesnt want to do any baking over the long weekend!
my question is this-Has anyone used Tandaco brand bakers yeast? its listed ingrediants are bakers yeast 98% ,emulsifier (#491- sorbitan monostearate)and ascorbic acid(which is vitamin c)
so would these additives have any effect on either the wash or its distilling? either negative or positive
and then finally are these in all commercially available bakers yeasts?

That's all I use. Lowans or Tandaco depending on which shop I go to at the time.

I have not check mine to tell you truth but I believe you get a higher ABV from Tandaco... I remember reading Tandaco ends up at 14% and Lowans around 10% either way you go they both produce the goods in the end as long as you carry on your end of the bargain.
