Molasses ferment stalled

Postby bluess57 » Sat Nov 03, 2012 1:17 pm

I've got a molasses ferment which is stalled.
Taken a SG reading today @1.035. I've read SG readings aren't particularly accurate for molasses, but this would seem too high?
This wash has been in fermenter for 2 weeks now. Doesn't taste sweet.
It's cool here & I've got a heater belt coming.
Wash is on an pet heating pad (all I had) @ 23C

Do I run it?
or stuff around with another yeast and some DAP.

Stripped the wash today, worked out ok.
The low wines doesn't taste too great-but I don't like rum.
Got the next generation on. Took a SG -goddam 1.130
