wyeast nutrient blend

Postby Timmsy » Sun Dec 21, 2014 10:35 am

I have a tub of wyeast nutrient blend. Was given it ages ago. Not sure what deal with it is. Just says beer nutrient. At to wort 10mins before end of boil.
Is it of any use in washes? Benfits

Haven't used it but yeah if it's a nutrient it shouldn't hurt, make sure you add it to boiling water as per instructions, old yeast can be boiled and used as a nutrient as well :handgestures-thumbupleft:

One of the best balanced yeast foods you can use. I love it but just resent the price.

Added as per directions to any wash should improve yeast health...although in a rum I'd still be using a vitamin B tablet per 30lt
