Condenser mods

Postby bayshine » Wed Jul 23, 2014 10:15 pm

Just thought I'd share my latest little project
I had a spare RC so I thought why not have a go at tig welding some copper tubes and see how it goes
Burr ground out the staino tubes which was a bit of a task and then went for a bit of a rummage through the store at work for some consumable to weld it with
Only found some cadmium free silver brazing wire....oh well I'll give it a crack :handgestures-thumbupleft:
Any way it had a much lower melting point than the 304 or copper but seemed to make a very good bond with the tig and a pressure test at sixty psi has confirmed this but it will be a few weeks till I'm home to give it a proper run with some heat thrown at it
Cheers for looking
