Copper supplies

Postby Timmy89 » Thu Jul 02, 2015 9:39 am

Hi everyone.
Need for advice for where to go to buy copper as I don't want a 6m length.
I'm in northern Gold Coast.
Thanks in advance

try these

https://www.google.com/maps/search/metal+recyclers+gold+coast/@-27.9264398,153.2797575,11z

you will pay around $10 per kilo which is about 1m or 2" or just under 1m. last piece i got was .85m and was just under a kilo

What size are you after?
Bunnings has 1.5m lengths of 15mm and 20mm for about $15-18. I got a 2m piece of 50mm from my local tradelink plumbing suppliers, Reece are a bit of a rip off and won't deal with them. Little bit more than scrap dealers but it was new and clean and didn't have to wait until I found what I needed.

Is cost an issue??

If so then i suggest scrap yards
but if you dont mind paying 5x as much then go new.
If your looking for 4" or higher than it will be more than 5x

Thats what i found when i looked anyway, may be different on the gold coast
