Thats a great starter point for me, and a bit of ballpark, usage knowledge.
I was intending on making a venturi burner (reil type) to fire the boiler which will sit on a pedestal inside an insulated "furnace".
My Laundry copper boiler has the same shape as my crucibles in the foundry, so I was going to make a lower temp version of my my main furnace and sit the boiler in it.
Castable refractory hotface inside, around 10mm thick, wrapped in 50mm Kaowool insulation and a thin veneer exterior face to support the insulation blanket.
I figure if I can melt a pot of Aluminium from cold in 15 minutes, then I should be able to get a boiler up to temp quite quickly. and once up to temp, it should stay quite steady with very little heat input.
