Umm even re reading I guess I misunderstand the question , I figured you were trying to calculate the boil up time If the energy is an unknown fact and of cause the boil up time is because that is in fact what you are trying to calculate then I can't see how this could be worked out by these equations. If you knew the boil up time was 10 min then you would in fact be wasting time trying to calculate it.
