ok I'm doing astrip run with the new burner . I built a kilm which was useless as it couldn't draw anough air and trapped the flame anyway its good now but I'm a bit worried how much is too much heat . I've turned it right down but its still making the bottom of the keg glow red is the stainless ok that hot

Snake alive the temp is coming up fast will have to build a steel stand for it never seen bricks glow bright red before hope nothing fucks up , ok distillate is pissin out like I ain't never seen 250 mls in well under a min

but I went back to the three ring burner for obvious reasons ;-)

If nothing gives I'm in love . fill up a 600ml jar while typing Edit spirit is around 70 ABV EDIT 2 had to turn it down some more struggle to get 100 % vapor knock down now getting 60 ABV at 100 ml in 18 seconds does this sound ok for a strip run

Ok whats the consensus on a good ABV to cut of at on a strip I normally go for 15 to 20 % sound about right ? never thought to ask so I just went a bit lower than normal in the past EDIT ok an hr in and I'm down to 30 ABV and thats with the burner turned right down had to use a bit more water to get knock down re thinking about re circulation now EDIT 2 My over view of this burner is that it is fucking fantastic , all done in two hrs and if I hadn't of wussed out may have been over in one . Don is a dead set no bullshit legend and his burner is the bomb period ^:)^ , can and will recommend :handgestures-thumbupleft:

I was told to stop at 20%. I guess you're going to have to increase the cooling power to compensate.

Did the low wines came out nice and clear at such a fast rate?

yeah mate perfect came out at 70 % and I shut it down at 20 or just below :handgestures-thumbupleft:

hoping someone would ask that before me I'll take some convincing to pack mine away this burner is stiffy material , turned fully up the flame is near 1 mtr high :shock: and hot enough to hammer weld with

enough said !!
burning the wash to the base of the boiler is a big concern

oh yeah I have checked that yet shit I hope that hasn't happened :doh:
EDIT Emptied the keg was no probs nothing burnt on ect. :handgestures-thumbupleft:

Dream run : had the burner turned half way from full flame just stripped 40+ ltrs 15% ABV fig wash from 75% down to 10% in an hr and a half start to finish :happy-partydance:
