Concealed element.

Hello,

Previously I've used a gas burner rather than elements - but looking for an electric powered still for my next Boka. I've had a look at 5 star but their boilers have exposed elements - the other option I was looking at was a 65L Digiboiler with a power controller..

I want to be able to run fruit washes for eau de vie/fruit brandies, (as well as being able to run neutral spirits).

Does anyone know of suppliers of jacketed boilers or with the digiboiler suffice?

A jacketed boiler is going to cost heaps , so unless you’ve got deep pockets or looking to go commercial a Digiboil is the way to go.
But remember , the 65L is a 15 amp job and the 5 Star Controllers are only 10 amp

the GEN-4 brewzillas have concealed elements and (apparently) have the ability to control the power as a percentage( like the grainfather).
so no need for a power controller.
they do a 35l/65l & 100l version.

ain't that the truth.
gen-4 65l is $900!
mind you, the 70l grainfather is $1800-1900. :wtf:
i was going to upgrade, but i'll have to wait until my gen 3.1 dies.
it's still a good option for me as i make a fair bit of beer, they make mashing so easy, and good efficiency too.
