Posted: Thu Aug 23, 2012 9:59 pmIf you can get friendly with someone in a pub or even freight companies that move empty ones, it seems there is a "acceptable loss rate" of these kegs so one or two going missing goes virtually unnoticed by the big boys that own them :handgestures-thumbupleft:

I was just in my LHBS today getting supplies for a batch of draught. Thought fuck it, can't hurt to ask if he knows of anyone who could supply me a couple 50l kegs. He didn't know anyone but he had one out the back he didn't need anymore. He was happy to let it go free of charge so i was bloody stoked and it's in much better nick than the one i picked up off gumtree the other day for $30.
Just ask everyone you run into. If they don't have one, chances are they'll know someone that does.
