Coopers or Carlton United keg?

Interesting one today. This is the top of one of my "Coopers" 18 gal kegs.

As you can see the coopers mark is on a piece of metal that is spot welded to the top of the keg.

I needed to remove this so my welder can get the two 4" ferrules on top.

When I took it off I found this.

Has anyone seen this before?

All I can assume is that coopers bought some kegs off carlton united back in the day?

or they didnt have the money to buy them and stole a heap welded a plate on and bingo! new kegs :laughing-rolling:
