bd747/2 ring burner combo?

I am thinking of combining a bd747 with a 2 ring burner for better control on spirit runs for fast heat up and then low and slow for the hearts. Hp reg for the bd747 and standard reg for the 2 ring to try to reduce the gas consumption..
Has anyone tried this?

I havent tried it mate, but if ya go with the BD747 for a quick heat up, you could always just turn it down when your at temp ;-)

Tried that kimbo but when I turn the flame Right down low I get a yellow flame and loads of soot.

This pic shows what I believe to be emptyglasses boiler drain exiting thru his 3 ring burner so I wad thinking of doing somthing similar with a bd747 thru the middle..

So you would need 2 separate bottles and lines?.

I think I will use 2 regs a Hi pressure reg for the 747and a lo pressure for the gas ring. And use two bottles for convinience. I have several bottles availible or I could split the gasline with a tee and some valves but I think 2 regs will be easier..
