Skinning an 18gal Keg

Postby unsub » Fri Apr 05, 2013 4:10 pm

Hi guy's

I just picked up a couple of the old style 18 gallon kegs and was wondering if there is an easy-ish way to get the outer skin off without doing any damage to the inner?

cheers

It's one of these: download/file.php?id=4094&mode=view Probably not a good example due the outer layer already being removed.

In fact this is exactly what they look like

Yep that's probably the better way, I think they might have used a swing saw and a stick of dynamite finished off with the jaws of life to do mine :laughing-rolling:

Thanks for the info guys. Unfortunately I have neither an oxy set or the skills to use one

I might hit up a mate with an oxy and give him a sacrificial one with a dent in it to try out first.

cheers
