SS Keg Drain

Postby Dominator » Sat May 11, 2013 8:20 pm

I got myself a SS keg and have ordered my McStill elements. Now to sort my drain, just wondering if it matters if I use 304 or 316 stainless valves/fittings.

Either mate.

To be honest you could use brass really because its only in the boiler.

In saying that, I'm anal and have all 316 fittings/valves as I'm assured they'll last forever.

Upside of 316L is it never will suffer pits or corrosion especially sitting in the shed in the cold days, wet between runs.

I'm no fan of brass anything to be honest.
