4" ferrule cutting on keg

Postby Mfkerg » Fri Jun 21, 2013 11:24 am

Hi All,

Just seeking advice on cutting a 4" hole in my key to attach one of Mac Ferrules. My bi-metal hole saw did not cut the mustard.

Thanks Blond for suggesting a Dremel, that is one of my options or even my angle grinder gently. Plasma cutter would be great but not sure if there is anyone in Adelaide I want to take kegs to for cutting.

Thanks for any further tips

HI Mate, I just used a 4" angle grinder with the thin 1mm discs and then cleaned it up with a flap disc :handgestures-thumbupleft:

I dont know what tools you got on hand but all I had when I did my keg was a grinder and a die grinder.
