Is anyone using an induction cooker to heat their boiler? It seems like it may be a good compromise between gas and electric element.

my 50L keg and 1.8m column wouldn't fit between the cooktop and the roof :(
besides, 2 x 2400w elements prolly gives more direct power than a cooktop

I am pretty sure induction cook tops are controlled in a similar fashion to a simmerstat, ie. either on or off, and that will not work for a still boiler.

I have one. $28 online in oz. Set it on the cake heating setting and you can control the temp. Im only doing 5-6 lts at a time and it has it on the boil in 15 mins. Its a 5-Star Chef mod. CT IN 739A
