Cherry Popper

Postby Hava » Mon Oct 28, 2013 10:47 pm

The journey begins!!!

After a Saturday morning trip to the local biker bar, they happily offered up all the empty kegs they had lying around! Good thing too as I think a practice run is in order for someone who has never worked with steel before and is picking up required tools along the way!

BTW I'm looking to take the record for the longest build time!

Build is flexible at this stage and this is basically a learning project using information from forum.

Ideally an electric boiler, sight plate and mounted on wheels with the idea of a bubble plate being ideal, but looking at setting up a pot still initially for strip runs at 40 - 50%, which may not be required but I like the idea. Mash tun needs to built at the same time, so looking to replicate Macs Mega Mash Tun, it's going to be a steep learning curve as I have no experience with metal or electrical work (hence going for the record build time) worlds smallest :violin:

I like a well thought out build, and the mash tun too... I can see where this is going :))

Enjoy the journey and we'll be here to help you along the way :handgestures-thumbupleft:
