Urrazeb you hit the nail on the head. Myself and 3 mates get together once a month and make a day of it, doing 3-4 runs a day is a pain, hence the need for something bigger :-)
We ideally would like 6-8 litres of finished product each. So assuming 24-32 litres per batch (10-12%) of 250L's should be sufficient.
Wow MacStill that's an amazing boiler. How big? Where on the east coast it going? Would love to check it out one day :-)

SS 44 gal drum will most likely be you cheapest option for that size particularly if you can get a second hand one. I've seem them used yrs ago, they work and that's all I'll add to that :whistle:

:o Man that is one big ass boiler it would take me a week to heat that with the power i have, And the man hole aka (fill port) how big is that. Is this boiler a steam heat or electric love to see the elements if were electric. :handgestures-thumbupleft:

It's getting 6 x 3600w elements for a start, but the jacket is also capable of steam.... :handgestures-thumbupleft:

I gotta drag it out of the shed tomorrow and set up all 8 plates on it to check it all over, then pack her all up to send east on tuesday :crying-blue:

Ah well I got it in the shed myself, I'll get it back out again.... it's amazing how strong a couple of rums makes ya :))
