I don't have access to 240V Power, but would like to put my new boiler to electric instead of gas and was looking at these: http://www.amazon.com/Camco-02853-Screw ... KPJ77AXFPS

I was thinking 3 of these would get me 4500W of available power, and at 120 V they only pull 12.5 Amps and I 3 available 20 amp 120V circuits.

Any thoughts on these as opposed to getting 220V circuits installed?

You could buy one of the FSD 2400W elements and run it at 120V and it will only draw 5Amps.
With a power controller you can run your elements at whatever voltage/amps you'd like.

im not sure we are the best place to be asking about 120v elements.
in Australia our house are all 220-240v. i didnt even know it was possible to install a 220v circuit in the states :teasing-tease:

but yeah, 3 of them on 3 x 20a 120v circuits will be no dramas
