Nice, giving her a run soon?

im thinking about getting a 4" still mount welded on and maybe a 4" fill port. on the bottom of my keg (invert it) any idea what a welder would charge for that?

I'd do it for a pineapple. Or a carton of beer.

My mate that is actually a boiler maker (he gets the shits when you call him a welder) would do it for around the same. Cash.

Paying a bizo you are likely to encounter a minimum charge. Usually an hours labour or $100+ that is from my experience anyway.

I Have lagged a few boilers in my time mainly steam
First put your insolation on tight as possible [I use duct tape you cant see it when finished ]
Then a couple of ockey straps [really stretched go back a couple of photos you will see]
Then slide your staves in roughly leave a gap at the last one [to allow for it pulling in]
Pull it up with ratchet straps [ I had to remove another one and split it ]
To finish 3 brass bands with a screw in every stave [waiting on screws]

Are the staves cut with a slight angle or are they square?

Thanks mate, looking forward to see the end product and heaps of photos.
Where did you get the brass rings from?
Would copper earth strap work? Can get my hands on some atm, don't know what to ever use it for though.
