Geeze...they are pricey!!

And I can't see how much spirit each essence makes.

yea I couldn't find an amount either, but when you take a look at the 3 x 50ml for $10 it says that its enough for 6L so about 25ml/L

Purchased the KENTUCKY BLUEGRASS BOURBON awhile ago just to give it a try. Made it up as per instructions and used Teddy's FFV for the neutral spirit, used a 2 liter Mason jar and added some charred oak.

Had one last night and it was OK, adding a little water to the glass seems to improve the taste. It is not a substitute for the real thing but it is a quick and easy method of producing a drinkable product.

After making up it will benefit from being rested for a few weeks before drinking.

Not exactly a connoisseur but I've tried a few. They're "drinkable" mixed with coke and really improve with a couple of weeks sitting. Really did not like the southern belle one, tastes like a non-sweet southern comfort, might be okay if mixed with a sugar syrup but its not for me.

Just purchased the sample pack off ebay with malibu, midori and kentucky bourbon

I mainly wanted to try to make Malibu for the wife which is her main drink ( I have tried 5 others and never had one pass the wife test )
I blind tested and she could pick it but said by far this is the closest to the real thing so far. I made it as per the directions so can alter to taste required by adding or subtracting sugar or essence
Im just waiting for her to have a bit of a session on it for more feedback
