Nestle Resouce Thicken Up Clear

Postby Fed » Sun Jul 20, 2014 3:26 pm

Hi all,

I know we all use different methods to thicken our fruits after polishing, but has anyone used this? It's usually used for aged and new borns to thicken liquids to make consumption easier. Apparently clear and tasteless. Thought I'd check before I tried it.

Cheers

Are you talking about getting the viscous mouth feel of liqueurs?

No, i'm talking about turning liquer into schnapps, not just the feeling of, but actually thickening it

I would doubt the clarity of the final product, sugar syrup thickens to an extent.

Cornflour also thickens but is not completely clear. Anyway give it a crack and report back but I am doubtful

Hi all, sorry about the tardiness in replying, have had fam issues to deal with. This actually worked a treat. Took a bit of tweaking (in water) to get a rough idea on how much to use but has no real taste to it, just used a bit per bottle to slightly thicken it up. Worth trying if you like a schnaps.
