We now have a supply of 2400 watt elements in stock, they are SS with a 1" BSP thread & have a silicone washer included.

They are priced at $45 per unit an need to be wired by an electrician.

With these elements & the DIY guard here (not included) viewtopic.php?f=41&t=2301#p30456 they are great unit at an excellent price.

These are brass flanges correct? Would they come into contact with the wash, and would it matter? Also the soldering to the brass flange, is that lead free, or yet agian does it not matter? I am a little uneducated in theses things

Brass in your boiler wont hurt you mate, even if they weren't lead free ;-)

The solder joint you are concerned about is TIG welded with 304 SS filler rods, or depending what ones you got silver soldered with 45% silver lead and cadmium free solder :D

I'm just waiting on a new supply of elements to arrive, this time I've also ordered a limited number of 3600w elements as well as the 2400w ones that were sold out so quickly.

They should be here within the next 10 days :handgestures-thumbupleft:

Any idea what length the 3600W elements will be??

The reason I ask is that the longer it is, then more surface area available for heating the liquid, and I'm interested to see how close it may be to what I'd ideally like.

The 3600w elements are the same dimensions as the 2400w elements, 250mm long.

Ah good to hear, means they will fit comfortably inside a standard keg.

i was going to put my hand up for a 3600W , but realised that you will need a 15amp circuit to run it safely... using power formula's I=P/V so 3600w/240v=15amps

Yes the 3600w elements are for 15 amp circuits only :handgestures-thumbupleft:

Just arrived is a limited number of 2400 & 3600 watt elements, specs are the same as posted previously.



A fair few members have put their hands up for these, so could those people please PM me to confirm orders.

These are $45 each unit, prices are the same for either the 3600 or 2400w elements.

Get in fast as I think more than half are already sold.

2400w elements are sold out for the time being, and there's only 6 of the 3600w elements left..... that's over 30 elements sold in around 10 days, I wasnt expecting such a large demand and will be ordering a stack more very soon.
