i dont think lead in brass being the heaviest metal, with a pretty high boiling point, is going to say hey I'm gunna go up this boiler & through the still to fuck these blokes up.

but you can get the same gear in SS for a few bucks more if it makes you feel better ;-)

For a drain in a boiler the brass will be fine as it isn't in the vapour path, if the fitting is below the wash volume you will be ok.

I got a 1" here, that should empty it out pretty quick. i did notice i had a 1 1/2" gate valve mmmm may cave my still in though :laughing-rolling:
