If waiting for the guards is a drama you could make your own easily by following my DIY guard thread DIY custom element guards I still have plenty of elements in stock.

If I was wanting a cheap weldless option the DIY guards are the way to go, just drill a 32mm hole instead of welding the SS socket :handgestures-thumbupleft:

I may go with one of these ones http://www.5stardistilling.net/3600w-heating-element/ i can tig weld so will just drill a hole in the side of the keg and weld a 1" nipple on for it to screw into. will be needing some copper packing also and maybe a thermometer. will be a few weeks yet till i will be ready to order as im waiting on the keg and haven't finished making the tower yet.
Thanks
Ben

if you plan on doing lumpy/grain/thick mash's then I'd go with the weldless option with a welded guard kit for the ultimate, at least then you won't get lumps of shit & grain getting stuck in the ones you linked to ;-)

if doing thin wort/mash/wash in the boiler the ones you chose will be fine :handgestures-thumbupleft:
