FSD Copper plates have arrived

Another of my long awaited shipments has arrived :happy-partydance:

Perforated plates and my new bubble cap plates.

The bubble caps are arriving next week to fit the plates, and the perf plate you simply flip a bubble cap upside down for the downcomer, or make your own downcomer to fit it.

In a couple of weeks we'll see a purpose built "no solder" bolt in downcomer hit the FSD shelves to match these plates, they're going to be pretty flash little set up once all the parts are installed :D

The perf plate specs are:

The bubble cap plate is 105mm diameter.

I'll figure out pricing over the weekend once I've had a look at all my invoices then update this post.

Cheers.

Dunno if the demand would be there, but any chance of a blank plate for a DIY option?

I think for the price these will be available for you'd really need to be into self harm for a DIY option :teasing-neener:

:))

Come on, it's not really that hard. Haha jokes! I build and repair aircraft for a living & the amount of holes in 4 plates is small compared to the amount of drilling required to do a rivet repair patch on an Aircraft! So these would be a real help to save my arm drilling eleventy billion holes!

Congrats Mac, what an awesome idea to get these made. Will save people a lot of time! Looks like an outstanding manufacturing!

It's not hard but it is a friggin pain in the arse ! Many drill bits later it's finally done ..... Much easier to walk to the front door and pick up a package ... Yep that's a winner !

Is $10 each a fair price ?

That would be for just the plate & no downcomer.

if people are happy with $10 per perf plate then I'll offer them for that, at this price my profit margins are pretty much A WOFTAM.

Taking orders for these now :handgestures-thumbupleft:

At that price I might go modular with my build :laughing-rolling:

I still might even get them and just file down lol

I would rather pay the $10 than to drive down to bunnings to buy the fucking drill bits ;-)

The downcomer hole is 16.5mm to allow for the new bolt in downcomers I'm getting soon, you could easily file them out if you wanted too.

I'll get a pic in a couple of hours of how I would solder in a downcomer, without modifying the tray :handgestures-thumbupleft:

Cheers.
