Nup! thought I was wrong but was mistaken, it is a 3" SSG :laughing-rolling:

I've got a brand new 12KVA genset that has to be run at least once a month (I bought it for cyclones) :laughing-rolling: and also have 60 amps available in the shed (has its own meter box) :D :D
When it gets here,I'll be installing 4 x 3600w elements,so if any sparkys out there want to build me a 4 station controller, flick me through a PM :handgestures-thumbupleft: I'm gunna need something a bit fancy too hey :laughing-rolling: :laughing-rolling: :laughing-rolling:

Best get in early, the first four 100L boilers I've got coming are already sold with more enquiries every day..... they're going quicker than I can get them.

For genuine enquiries please PM me.

The 1st lot of 100L boilers were sold at $1200 a piece, elements and guards are extra.

Cheers.

Na got 12000w available with the genset, just means the trucks fuel economy goes downhill :laughing-rolling: :laughing-rolling:
Will use the genset to bring it up to temp, then will probly switch over to mains supply, using 3 of the 3600w elements during the run :handgestures-thumbupleft:
The main reason for using the genset is,I've got to run it under load at least once a month :handgestures-thumbupleft: so instead of switching it over to power the house,I'll just power the boiler instead.I know it won't be quite big enough to power all 4 3600w elements going flat out, thus the need for a 4 station controller, well,I really don't need a 4 station controller, but want one anyway :laughing-rolling: and this way I can still use the smaller boiler when doing small/experimental runs :handgestures-thumbupleft:

I think for me personly i would determine the size of the boiler by the run time , as in time from heat up to run to clean

Lets say we have the 100 ltr boiler running a standard 4 plate 4" bubbler what sort of hours are we looking at per run ?

Given the still is run with correct heat and cooling being applied :-B

Not trying to be the turd in the punch bowl, just asking as I prefer gas :-B

Not sure how it's go with gas and the centre drain, but I'm sure we could sort it out somehow.

Custom designs would be welcome too, but at this stage I'm just trying to get a standard design that's not too expensive, yet appealing to a majority.

Cheers.

I think the 4" runners wanting a short day would be better off going for a 60L boiler, the 100L from power on to power off for a 4" rig is probably going to be around a 7 or 8 hour day.

On the flip side of that though, if you did want a big stilling day you can't put 100L in a 60L boiler, but you could run the 100L boiler with a 50L charge.

Good point Mac then in that case it would be 100 ltr unit for me.

What would the minimum element size would be required ?

After heat up do you think it would run on a one 2400 watt element or do you recomend a 3600 watt job. :handgestures-thumbupleft:

Once it's heated 2400w will keep it boiling no problem at all :handgestures-thumbupleft:
