FSD Awesomeness

Postby Professor Green » Fri Jun 12, 2015 9:09 am

Just wanted to offer a quick thank you to Mac and Mrs Mac for their help and patience with me whilst I decided on my still upgrade path.

My 100l milk can and 4" pot arrived yesterday, the milk can looks fantastic. Even better than in the pictures. It is also HUGE! :D

The still components are incredibly well crafted too. Very solid and definitely built to last. Looking forward to firing it all up once the elements are wired (and I have rearranged the shed to fit it in!).

Cheers,
Prof. Green.

Definitely looking forward to getting it up and running! I've also got a couple tees on the way as a start towards a neutraliser.

Here's a really crappy low-light iPhone shot of the 100l boiler with the 4" pot on top. It looks much better in real life.

I'll try to do a better shot with a real camera when I have time if folks are interested.

Cheers,
Prof (I've still got the idiotic smile on my face from when I opened the box on Thursday) Green.

Looks even better in person Crusty.

Hope you've got a bit of room to work with, the 100l milk can is not small in any way!

Cheers,

I've got a bit of room to play with.
It's starting to get a bit full up the back of my shed from my beer brewing though, the 50lt Braumeister, 5 x 19lt corny kegs, 10 x 50lt commercial kegs, 1 x 4 tap kegerator & 1 x fermenting fridge & now the still. I just need a bar, couch & a TV & I'm all set... :handgestures-thumbupleft:

Sounds like a nice little playground you've got!

Definitely get yourself a TV in there so you've got something to entertain you whilst you're doing your runs (making sure you still pay attention to what you're doing of course). I set myself up an old PC running itunes so I could at have some decent music to listen to whilst I was working.

Cheers,
