The iec input is nice and small and compact. Was wondering if there is a nice compact output socket available. Wall plate is a bit big and. I bought a round one but it will stick out a good 50mm from voltage box.. anyone know a good compact output socket?

I've got some 50mm high 10amp gpo sockets in my kitchen that were bought from bunnings, is that what you're after?

Iec make small output sockets as well. Used to be in the back of most computers when they were steam powered for the monitor to be powered through the computer. Check em on eBay.
They make various types.

I think Jaycar sell panel mount IEC sockets.

Might be wise to check the current rating on them if you're thinking to use them for a boiler controller.

Cheers,

Just a side safety tip.

I run both my elements through a 15amp double power point and it gets pretty bloody hot by the time I'm done so I would sway the way of 15 amp if you can get them.

I thought you were talking about these.

Man that's a long link. I use these type in male and female and just buy (or find) the cords to cut down and stick a plug on. I actually find the cable seems to gets hotter than the connectors.

Yea I got one of them for the input. I was going to use one for the output but to save changing the plug on the leads went with the standard output one. My lead used to get a tad warm I got the end changed and now it stays at ambient temp..
