Hi I have a 2200 watt weldless element installed in a 50 litre keg I had a mate of a mate tig some fittings including the locknut for the element in the keg unfortunately a little bit of warping around the main ferrule so I am building another boiler I am finding it hard to source lock nuts for the element. Does anyone know what sort of thread these elements would be to source new ones. they aren't bsp maybe npt or bsm or is it a Chinese special? The other option is to cut the old ones out and use them but was hoping to maybe pass on old keg to a mate so he could use as a boiler for something else
Thanks

Count your tpi - threads per inch or even the thread pitch, distance between peaks of the thread and cross reverence some charts
Im surprised a bolt shop couldnt work it out? try another one with an older guy behind the counter who knows how to measure?
Ive only seen NPT and bsp tread advertised on elements
The 1 1/4" is consistent with the 32mmish of a 1" bsp

It looks like it might be 11tpi from that photo.
They normally have about 1" of thread.
Did they at least check the pitch while you were in the shop?
