I have 2 of these ready to install.

Is having 1 on full time to much heat for a spirit run in a 50 litre keg.

Also is my she'd able to run both at the same time with one of these in there

You will need to refer to the topic section Electrical Hardware viewforum.php?f=60 for that infomation After Reading The Big Red Section At THE TOP.

I would hate to give you the wrong advise kingy, better off asking our electrical gurus as 1 2 suggests :handgestures-thumbupleft:

Looks like your shed has 1 power circuit rated for 16A maximum so only one 2400W element at a time...

Do you have 10A outlets or one 15A outlet???

Ah mate - I have 2 of these and I'm on the process of putting a controller on one. Both running is perfect for heat up, but was too much for my bubbler. And one wasn't enough... So I need a controller to get me somewhere under 4000 watts.

the breakers mean squat its the cable thats running to the shed that is what you need checked and while your at it you should look at getting rcd's (safety switches) put in if the shed isnt wired into one at the main switch board

Yea it all goes through my mains there's a breaker there as I was given an old fridge ages ago and it kept tripping the circuit breaker.
Just waiting for a mate to have a look. But I think I may install one element in each of my 2 kegs and use my gas Italian spiral burner to help make thinks happen and adjust as needed to work with the element.
If I took a photo of my mains board will that help or am I just safer with the single element setup?

Since I've been studying up 2x 2400 watts is a lot of oomph Lol.

Cheers again in advance

8-ball suggested RCDs, different to a circuit breaker. They are required by law on new installs and modifications, they minimise the chance of getting an electric shock.

I'd recommend getting a sparky to take a look at your shed board if your not sure..

Hi Kingy,
I'm lookin to install a single 2400w element in a 50l keg myself. Was wondering how you got on, did you just put one in? Do you only need one to do a run?
I have a gas burner to get to temp quicker so not worried about it taking ages with just one element; I really just want to know if one element will be able to maintain boiling point.

Cheers
