Any other ideas out there?

How about heating it with a old gas fired pool heater. I can mount the heater unit outside and pipe it In through the wall. Some of the earlier models have all metal manifolds and should take a fair bit of heat. How hot would oil need to be for it to work?

The steam boiler option looks like it has too many zeros in it.

Keep in mind running 3 elements in parallel ( say each element 2400 watts ) it will draw 30 AMPS, too much for a single phase. and 15 amps if the elements are 1200 watts, most outlets are rated at 10 amps.

you can use a controller ( see link below ) but unless you know what you are doing you can do some damage to the hose or yourself. Ask an electrician if you know one.

Some people have two elements , and switch one off when the boiler starts boiling .

PS . Just have a good excuse for the wife for burning the house down :-)
