To make a long story short i pulled this 2 gang light switch yesterday and this is what I found. Is this wiring acceptable or do i need to call a sparky to fix it (both lights wired to this switch work)

Sorry if I've posted this question in the wrong section.

Looks fine mate. Gang switches are usually messy like that. Have a look at a 6 sw gang plate.

Thanks for the reply hayden89, you have put my mind at ease.
I just wasn't sure if such a large grouping of wires should be jamed into one terminal.

Its fine just bad practice the earth shouldnt be put in the loop terminal of the switch but its fine and common in spec houses

Thanks fur that 8ball.

I'm in a new house and all the gpo's in my distilling area are on the same circuit, can i run my 350watt pump and 2.2kw element on one circuit? My typical spirit run is about 8hrs long.

I just did the maths and it would be 10.62A draw. Looks like i need another circuit to run one or the other.

Yeah i would lol but i can fix my electrical shit for free

If its that close it would be fine just use 2 different outlets best advice i can give is get a 20 amp dedicated circuit put in where you still you should never have problems with tripping then

I found a sparky who was happy for me to do some of my own work.
I've run the cables and mounted the extra gpo and iso, all he has to do is wire them in and fit the circuit breaker.
I had the same arrangement at my old house, the sparky i used that time spent 20mins wiring then charged me $200 . . . I still have nightmares about it.
