Yeah i though about doing the same thing but things are going to go very wrong if there is a mistake made.. However... a simple solve would be a hillbilly pressure release, if you drill a hole in the top of you cap and put a cork from a bottle of wine (natural cork) then this would act as a fail safe..Just an idea

With all due respect this idea is not great. Firstly if the cork is jammed in to tight or some residue has glued it in ...BANG! and if it works (maybe worse) you are showered with boiling wash while your shed is suddenly filled with flammable coking ethanol vapour . A pot still needs to be open to the atmosphere always at all times with no ability for it to close off, I have had a pot still condenser become blocked due to a puke and it is not a laughing matter as even shut down it still built up enough pressure to blow ltrs of boiling wash out with enough force to spray pretty much have the shed

I have a qustion on cleaning it, I have soaked it over night in 50/50 vinegar, now its turned upside down with the outlet plugged soaking in my last cleaning run alcohol, does it need to be cleaned when running or will this be enough. I was going to run a small amount though it and was thinking it was going to be about as clean as it's going to get.
