Finally finished my first build. :handgestures-thumbupleft:
Now i can have a crack at some real rum. Ended up getting all my copper pipe and most of my fittings second hand from a plumber for forty bucks. Less than tradelink wanted for just some of the pipe.

Thanks all :text-thankyoublue:
Thats the plan... the essences you buy really dont hit the spot at all on there own.
Hopefully the finished product will be ok even though i wont be able to control the boiler temp for the spirit run.

Invest in a voltage controller when ya can i run on about 160v for spirit run :handgestures-thumbupleft:

Nice work mate ,you could fit a second smaller element,I used a 900wt or 1380wt with my old 25lt boiler wich came with a 2000wt element wich was too much for slow spirit runs, just drilled another hole in the boiler ta fit, used the original element to heat up then switched over too the smaller one ta run .cheers hillzabilly :handgestures-thumbupleft:

Most home brew stores carry them, will cost about 40bucks for element and about 15bucks for a power cord, and ya need ta drill a hole about 32mm to suit.cheers hillzabilly ;-)

Just fired her up for a cleaning run and to my surprise... no leaks. Was sure i would find one somewhere! My soldering must of been half reasonable. She was putting out 100ml/ min.

Nice job Dan. Same as mine :handgestures-thumbupleft: what you got for a reservoir? Uses a shit ton of water. I use the pool which is great if you have one. Also mate, def put a voltage controller on other wise you'll just be doing a strip when you should be doing a spirit run. Heat up on full then back off to 50% power n you'll be sweet as. Good stuff n good luck man

Thanks... yeah got water via a local pipeline which doesnt cost heaps, so thats what i use. Its actually good quality water too. Run a pipe into washing machine so its not all going down the drain. :greetings-waveyellow:
