2" Pot - First Build

Postby j0sh2008 » Thu Feb 09, 2017 3:08 am

I decided to build a 2" pot still. I picked up some cheap 2" at the scrap yard.

I haven't finished it yet but hopeful soon it will be ready. Need to do some easy flanges and just ordered some tri clamps from 5SD. Once its all together my friend is going to weld the keg fitting on and i will put the elements in.

Also working on the parrot and parts for the controller are on the way still.

When its finally finished im going to start on my 4" glass bubbler. I've got the 4" pipe and the 2 1/2. Just need to find the time.

50L boiler
2" column 700mm
Shotgun 500 mm 4 1/2 tubes
1 2400 element
1 3600 element

Controller - Coming soon
Parrot - Coming soon

Good start bloke. Are you gonna use an easy flange & clamp to join the shotgun? That way you can use the shotty on your bubbler :handgestures-thumbupleft:

I thought about that but nah. I will just make a new shotgun using the 2 1/2".

She'll be a nice pot, get that parrot and controller sorted and you're off and away :handgestures-thumbupleft:
With the shotty, you could always de solder the 90 degree bend or cut the Lyne arm in half and add an easy flange later... for the bubbler
