First build, 2" pot

Hi I am in the process of starting a 2" pot with Liebig build and I am wanting to fit to a pure distilling boiler.
I have read that I can get a t500 adaptor from fsd Do the t500 and pure distilling have the same size boiler lid? And also how does the adapter work. I am intending on getting a power control for the boiler as well.
Any help would be appreciated.

Cheers
Mark

Go a shotty condenser not that much harder to make. And can be reused on a bubbler down the track. Trust us if you enjoy a drink you are gunna want better than a 2" pot. But a pot is a good way to learn..pot adapter is a 2" ferrule with a male thread and a backing nut..

Pretty sure the boilers are the same mate.

The adapter screws into the lid and gives you a 2" triclamp ferrule to clamp your still onto.

Thanks bluc does a shotty condenser better than a Liebig for the pot still and could I use it on the pure distilling boiler? I do enjoy a drink :obscene-drinkingdrunk:

Shotty will do it easier and if/when you update to a bubbler with 3600w poer input it will still knock it down easy.. :handgestures-thumbupleft:

T 500 is a 25 liter boiler with a 50mm hole in the lid
Pure distilling is a 30l boiler with a 64mm hole in the lid.

They are no the same

Hey Swedish pride What size is your Liebig? I am assuming the bigger it is the less water needed to keep temp down

No prob, if you get the wrong one you can buy replacement lids from kk with either size hole

it's about 30" long 3/4 over 1/2, knocks down 5000w full throttre on a strip run, so a spirit run is a walk in a park.

A shotty is the same as a Liebig but it has multiple inner tubes so reduces your overall length but keeps same cooling efficiency. This means you can run them vertically to reduce smearing. :handgestures-thumbupleft:

sure, any condenser will do the job.
but he already has a liebig, no need to get a new one if the one he has is up for the job.
not sure if a liebig smears more, but one of the downside to a shotty is that is need to be run vertically to be as efficient as possible, a liebig can do any angle really

All I need is some 4" tees and I got a bubbler spewin I missed the ones for sale recently :handgestures-thumbdown:
Was going to make a Liebig but I had the gear to make a shotty.

Here is my 2 inch pot still with Liebig condenser. During a spirit run my spirit comes out at 20 degrees

That is the go plumby :handgestures-thumbupleft: I don't think it matters which one u are running they both work well but the only thing better for a shotgun is moving it to a bubbler
