Voltage controller on Pot Still ?
I initially see no point, as long as your not overpowering your condensor.
Give me your opinions and reasons... discuss

If you're using a pot still to make whiskey or rum then you'll want to run slowly so there is less smearing. This can't be done without a voltage controller when running on electricity.

equipment: Eve - 4" x 4 plate solid state bubbler (sieve plates), 330 mm packed section on a keg boiler with 2 x 2000 W elements.
Currently having a makeover: 2" x 4 plate solid state bubbler (1" bubble caps, no sight glasses...maybe not for much longer!) on a bain-marie boiler.

:text-+1: Yeap, with a pot you want to run it with a just unbroken stream.
Back off your power or gas until you get a broken stream and then slowly increase the power/ gas until the stream is unbroken.
Can’t do this without a voltage controller or gas regulator :handgestures-thumbupleft:

:text-+1: . Striping runs its not needed, spirit run's its an essential bit of kit.

If you dont use one you will smear push heads and tails through whole spirit run..slower run allows better seperation of the fractions..

You’ll always be doing strip runs if you don’t have one.

All the reasearch I have done leads me to believe you need one, maybe not for a stripping run but definitely for a spirit run

Most of us on this forum want to make the best product we can, so if your gonna put the effort in to do propper cuts and fractions, then you want them to be as defined as possible. :obscene-drinkingdrunk:
For what a controller costs it really is a cheap investment in terms of how bigger impact it makes.
Just my opinion anyway. :handgestures-thumbupleft:
