Pot still design and discussion

copper compression fittings

Postby Plumby » Mon Sep 17, 2018 6:04 pm

Hi gang, just after some advice.
I have a 19mm lyne arm on my pot still and I want to make it adjustable so I can strip into my keg then do a spirit run with the collection point being my bench.
Can I use a copper compression fitting and if I can where do I get one that's all copper, with a copper olive inside not brass?

Pretty sure the stainless ones have a ptfe(teflon olive). Which is fine. Never heard of copper fittings(unions/compression fittings) only brass :-B

Stainless is ok, where do I buy one from and can you can buy replacement olives ?
I'm sure over time they will wear out.
