my 2"in pot still

gday all
i thought ide put a pic or 2 up of my pot still and condenser me and my lil brother 8-ball made on friday night
pot head is 600mm high over all and the condenser is 1200mm overall and the outer is just under 900mm long
will be putting it to the test next weekend

nar he wants me to tig weld bits and pieces for it so i need to practice a bit
ive only tig welded stainless and mild steel

Hi mate what sort of system are you using to connect the condenser to the main rig

At the moment a 3/4 compression fitting will probably go to a stainless union as i have them at work

yeah I was going to use that but was apprehensive about the collar , probably was fine but I ended up going ultra old school with a rye nuts a copper 3/4 to 1/2 reducing bush ,pig of a thing really . Wish I'd splurged out with proper ss fittings

3 inch Boka (half share with Draino),...... 4 inch 4 plate perforated plate Bubbler

he forgot to mention that the lebieg is inch over 3/4

i forgot to tell you to give it a soak with vinegar and water then run it with vinegar and water then do the sacraficial alch run

gas + 3.6kw electric 80l keg with 6in opening
2 x 4" perforated plate with 2in shotty

Well i finally fired it up yesterday with a vinager and water mix, no leaks so far and the runnings out of the condenser are at 18deg.
Just got to wait for my tpw to finish to run it
