hi i brought this still before i find this site i not up to speed with it all what type of still is and the best product to run

My guess it a potstill or sorts. Instead of a long lieberg condenser I'm guessing its curled up in the green thing. But that's just a guess

Yeah, I would have to agree Andy. Don't know what's with the two pipes that connect to the boiler.

Yep looks like a pot still with a worm condenser to me. No idea why there are 2 connections to the boiler.

Should make fine product, go for rum, whisky, brandy etc and double distil.

It seems that the second connection is an airway:

The design incorporates an independent airway to allow the distillate to rise faster and delivery a higher purity.


Also, did you happen to get the black beards rum recipe from him?

Cheers guys its. Got pipe inside the green thing yes I got few recipes I put them up if workout how to put them up

Interesting, I still don't see what the independent airway is for, it won't hurt but I would have thought it would just be restricted by the pipe higher up.

Also, can you see any copper anywhere inside the still? If not, it'll be interesting to see whether you get any sulpherous tastes/odours in your product (easy to fix if you do).
