My bet is it will hold 100 liters. The kegs are 55 liters a piece. I looked at my kegs and there is a place at the top to cut where the 2 kegs will just slide togather and its virtually at the part where the ring goes around the top. Let us know how much you run in the keg and how much it takes to fill up to the top.

When its full to the brim it holds 101L, i had my kegs cut down about 50mm from the top and bottom it would look neater and flush on the inside. im thinkin when i run it i reckon ill fill it to the 80L mark just in case of any puking..

I'm not too keen to see the bill to get it welded tho.. hopefully my thumper is finished tomorrow... It's the same style as th pot but half as high.. Still have to do some more mods to th still, it's going to need a drain tap in th bottom..

So here's some more pics, just got my 50l mashing pot and thumper back from th welder, wasn't too badly priced, cost me 480$ for him to cut/weld 2 kegs together, 5 x 4" sight glasses, 4 x 2" ferrules into position.now to get the copper and start on that side of things..

If you have it to do over would you go three high instead of 2 if you didn't have to pay for it.? Looks real nice

If I didn't have to pay for it, I'd get macstill to build me a biggin. :-D
I wouldn't go much higher than 2, if you have the room go for 3 high, but I reckon you'd be better of going a wider diameter.. What would be better is if you could get the older style kegs that are a lot wider.. 80 odd Lts and weld two of them together.. That's a idea for the bank.

Hey andy..
It all  very slowly at the moment, just getting some drain taps welded in and getting my elements wired up... Also saving up for the copper pipe.. The local plumbing mob gonna charge me 600$ for all th copper I need, so I have too save in small portions to get it passed the missus..

Hopefully by the end of June I will be running.. :-D

thats what i thought.. and this was with a 30% discount...
this is what i need:
6mt x 2"
18mt x 1/2"
18mt x 1/4"
plus various tees, reducers, elbows and joiners etc
might just buy it in bits n pieces.. over the next few weeks/months..
