Modular pot still with 2 easy flanges back to back

Postby rumbo » Mon Jan 19, 2015 2:14 pm

Hi guys,
Just wondering if it is possible to have a join in my pot still using 2 easy flanges in 2" pipe held together with gasket and tri clamp? Mant to be able to try different condensor designs.

I'm guessing that the only other option is to hard solder a SS ferule to the pipe at one or both ends and use the tri clamp?

You're asking if you can clamp two easy flanges together? That's the idea of them mate, go for it :handgestures-thumbupleft:

Cheers. I wasn't sure if they were square enough for 2 to work together or whether you needed a proper ferrule on one side. :handgestures-thumbupleft:

How square they are is entirely up to you :laughing-rolling: Done properly, though, they should be as square as a ferrule ;-)
