4" bubble tee as a thumper

Postby bluc » Sun Feb 07, 2016 3:58 pm

Wondering if someone could tell me the height of one of macs 4 inch bubble tees. Thinking about getting one and making some custom bubble calp/riser/downcommer for max bath depth and turning it into an inline thumper for my 2 inch pot. Just wondering how much liquid one would hold if it was setup as a thumper cheers

would be cheaper to just get a small bit of 4" or 6" from a scrappy and doing it yourself. the tees might not provide enough height for a downcomer. not saying dont buy FSD just i dont think a tee would be a good thumper. If you make it you can custom make it to what you want. remember the downcomer cap needs to be as big as the riser. or like meat said a 'u' shape going up the riser :handgestures-thumbupleft:

The thumper is out of my price range more than a bubbler :? Thinking if I get a complete tee put the plate aside and make my own with long as possible riser/cap/downcommer it should do the job for now and I will have a tee if down the track I make a bubbler. One 5 star tee on bottom one on top and a solid two plate section, made by me, in between... should bump the abv and I can do some infusing if I want. Just have to back fill before each run..
