Hey guys,

I'm only into my 5th run on the Boka and I'm curious how many people strip their washes first and add them all in to an ultra slow spirit run or if you just do spirit runs every time? The last 5 I haven't bothered to strip and they've been awesome neutrals imho...

Stripping will always produce better faster results even with a simple T500

stripping then combining will result in a larger hearts cut for your spirit run ;-)

So after doing a bit of...ahem...reading :-B I have decided I will try out a stripping run. From what I've gathered:

1)Run it as hard as the condensor will let me with no packing and the take off wide open from the beginning.

2)Collect all the way down to 97-98 degrees vapour temp or 15-20%

3)Do several washes/stripping runs and add them altogether and dilute to 40% GL or less.

4) Do a spirit run with packing installed and full reflux for an hour. Take off foreshots/heads using lower power an then ramp up the power for hearts.

5) Once vapour temp starts to creep up slow it down a bit and change cuts jars more frequently until the funk starts getting too bad.

6)Air jars out for 24hrs and then do some :obscene-drinkingdrunk: [album][/album]

Does this sound correct?

Even leaving your cuts for 48hrs to air can help... especially if your having trouble seperating them. :handgestures-thumbupleft:

When I strip I reflux for a little while making sure everything is stable and then take off foreshots, even if it is only a small amount, before speeding up and collecting the rest . I think any opportunity to remove these is a benefit to the final product.
