Slowly building ccvm

Postby Bradd79 » Tue Jun 27, 2023 10:47 am

So over time I have been buying bits and pieces to build a 2" ccvm I mainly do neutrals at the moment but want to try more whiskey styles hence the transform to a pot when I want to.
Only thing left it the reflux coil which I'll have to make I was thinking 3/8 copper but I'm struggling to find it has any 1 got ideas on where to get it
I wasnt happy with how clean the t500 neutral was so thats my reasoning behind this build
Am I going in the right direction

I ended up buying a double wound reflux coil off ebay from some bloke in QLD ages ago. I just checked and he only has 3" coils listed at the moment, but if you msg the seller they will make to order

1/4 may cut it if your not using a lot of watts, theres a massive flow difference to 3/8 though.

I have a few coils ive made but never used, 3/8 is a pita to bend tight - you would want the coil to be aprox 40mm in a 2" - ive found the size down in ac 5/16 stuff much easier, but you have to get creative with attaching water lines as theres few to zero fittings available, sizing up is easiest for fittings.

outside diameter of the desired coil x 3.14 x the amount of coils you require and add a bit more for your tails
this is in mm
I'm not on arsebook either so I don't exist
