ok so got into it Today. Did a pot still run all ok.

I am having a problem with flooding ( overflowing out the top ).

Now I have tried a few things and I think that my keg king heater is too hot and I need to control it.

Packed the colum. overflowed.
Removed all insulation overflowed
Removed the top section packing its ok. (overflowed once )
I was trying to get 1L hour but had to speed up now about 1L 40 min.

So do you guys think that should be what I try next ( Controling heating )

I Have work my flooding problem, I tired a few things and best was just packing the bottom section and not the top 96% so happy with that.

Now I want to get setup better I need a parrot and some large glass storage containers.

Any ideas.

I can vouch for McStill for the parrots, very happy with mine, and it was quick too.

Just check that your Alcometer will fit though as I had to get a smaller one for mine.

Yeah mine are 200mm long, they're the performance model :D

Seriously though, the more volume your parrot holds the slower it responds to changes in your output..... My parrots hold roughly 80ml & by having such a small amount in your parrot you'll be preventing excessive smearing :handgestures-thumbupleft:
