Here is a pic of my new still its a Alex 25n Fractional still.
Sputnik
I choose this as I needed a smaller still it should give me the option of reflux or pot still mode and I couldnt afford a bubbler :crying-blue:
delivery was fast but austrilia or NZ post had used it as a footy ball so theres a few bent bits to straighten out later.
wont be putting any molasses washes through this baby.

edit- just done a cleaning run using water and the feints jar :D
edit 2- just pulled column apart as far as i could am pretty sure this is just a BOK with removable packing?
Tossed instructions in rubbish bin if i want to do maths i would have stayed in school..

I havent been on for a few weeks, well, not as much as usual :laughing-rolling: Work has been out of control :angry-banghead: Nice still Kiwi, looks like a boka to me,but I've never owned one,and there ain't nothing wrong with jamming a molasses wash through it :handgestures-thumbupleft:
I was chatting to a certain gentleman the other night, and decided to attempt another build :D :D I'm not gunna spill the beans just yet,it's only half finished, but I will say,it's gunna be a "one of a kind" :o :o So watch this space

Hillzabilly.
Looks cool.Seems you have Modded it from the original design. :handgestures-thumbupleft:
The second lot of pics are easier to see :D

Can you show us another of the lower half of the head. Can't work out where your take off is and if you did the refux tube back into the column .

Also is that coily bit running through the column a CM option ?

How did you do your connection to the SS boiler ?

You got some interesting stuff there

left the reflux to overflow back down column saved a needle valve.and it meens the dist fills the lower section of the condencer giving a cool output, thats why i added the extra condencer section (3 inch ).the coily bits allow me to use a 2000watt element running flat out all the way thru the run,i adjust the water flow thru it and am able to maintain 78cel from start to finish .silver soldered a normal sink connection ,the nut is on the column side ,flange mounted from under the lid . I have further modded this still with the reflux system .pics to follow soon.thanks for the feedback.
