Hello hagrid,
The abv's seem a little high...maybe a temp impacting on reading, but no dramas re test it am today.
I'm no fan of doing cuts the next day some do and good luck to them, I let it sit for a few days before cutting....extra airing get rid of a few more volatile bits we don't need or want.
If abv is about on the mark then suggest if equal sized cuts jars, water a centre jar to below 70% apply same water vol to remaining jars, good stir then do your cuts...it's a far different beast at lower abv's and flavours come out the higher abv hides.
Yeh your right at real high abv's it is funky...hazy in mouth, clinical smell, wide on the palate, burning tongue sides, light/transparent on front of tongue, hot when exhaled are a few i'd use.
Good safe fores and early heads cut...play it safe ...wd
cheers
